It is with great pleasure that we reflect on an exciting collaboration with Weidmann Medical Technology AG. As part of a challenging project, Forcentis played a key role in implementing a new production line in the injection molding division of the Swiss-based company’s production site in Saltillo, Mexico.
The production line in a state-of-the-art clean room integrates multiple complex process steps including injection molding, unloading robots, fully automated product transfer, inspection stations with vision systems checking numerous dimensional and attributive characteristics, assembly and labelling, and a final packaging station.
For all these steps Forcentis conducted a comprehensive risk assessment of all equipment related to product quality, which was a significant highlight. Derived from the risk assessment and the URS, all requirements could be transferred as testcases into testing plans. Thanks to this, both, the factory acceptance test (FAT) at the manufacturer’s European sites and the system acceptance test (SAT) in Saltillo, Mexico could be completed in time and with full traceability.
Leveraging our extensive experience in manufacturing medical devices and IVD consumables, we are happy to have significantly contributed to the success of this challenging project. The successful completion of such projects highlights the importance of close collaboration and a partnership-driven approach to achieving ambitious goals.
